Olsen Associates is a professional architectural firm providing architectural planning and design services to public and private clients. Our firm is a full service architectural firm with a wide variety of project experience for a variety of building types. Prior to formation of Olsen Associates in Saratoga Springs in 1991 both partners completed numerous large scale commercial, institutional and residential projects in New York City and Western New York State.
The firm’s work includes new construction, adaptive reuse and renovation/restoration of existing building stock. Olsen Associates offers a wide variety of services tailored to individual client needs including: Site/Program/Zoning and Building Code Analysis, Project Development/ Feasibility Studies, Historic Preservation/Restoration Analysis, and
Cost Analysis.
The firm recognizes the unique demands of today's economic and development environment. Good design is only the beginning. Claudia Henao Olsen, AIA, Principal is
a registered Architect in New York State and has an educational background in architecture and historic preservation. Prior to the firm's formation, Ms Henao Olsen was a project manager with Robert E. Meadows, P.C. Architect in New York City for various projects ranging from interior rehabilitation and restoration to exterior renovation and preservation of historic buildings. Prior experience includes completion of a large variety of award winning commercial, retail, and residential projects. Ms Henao Olsen received her bachelor’s degree in architecture from the New York Institute of Technology and holds a masters degree in Historic Preservation from the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation from Columbia University.
Brandi Hall coordinates the preparation of construction documents and is involved in project management and construction administration. Ms. Hall has been with Olsen Associates since 2006. Prior to joining Olsen Associates, Ms. Hall was involved in new construction and renovation of educational facilities throughout Northeastern New York. Ms. Hall holds a Bachelor's of Architecture from Louisiana Tech University.
George L. Olsen, AIA, Principal is
a registered architect in New York, Maryland and Vermont with an extensive background in housing and commercial development, mid size educational and institutional facility design and numerous small scale private and residential projects. Prior to the formation of the firm, Mr. Olsen was an associate project architect with Warren W. Gran Associate in New York City and was co-founder of NH Architecture in Rochester, New York. In addition to his schooling in architecture, Mr. Olsen holds a bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Science.
Jodi Plante coordinates interior design for Olsen Associates and has been with the firm since 1997. In addition to her degree from Cazenovia College, Ms. Plante also attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
In order to maintain the quality of diverse projects and to broaden the scope of services offered to individual clients, Olsen Associates maintains a close relationship with a variety of award winning consultants for: Site Design and Engineering; Landscape Architecture; Surveying; Environmental Analysis; Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Engineering; Structural Engineering and Cost Analysis.
